Pakistan flash flood kills Nine

Islamabad:  At least nine people were killed because of a flash flood in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, media reported on Friday.

The flash flood hit Upper Dir district on Thursday, killing three women, five children and a cleric, Dawn online reported.

Heavy rainfall caused a sudden rush of water to the low-lying district, destroying shops, houses and a seminary.

According to locals, the toll could rise as several children and people were unaccounted for.

The Cupertino, California-headquartered tech giant plans to accept requests for free repair of its products until the end of September.

The offer is only for individual users, not for companies or stores using Apple devices for their businesses.

The torrential rain in western Japan caused disasters including floods and mudslides and killed at least 224 people, according to Kyodo News.
