Dr. Munish Kumar Raizada, president of the Bharatiya Liberal Party (BLP), has criticized the act of BJP MLA from Delhi's Jangpura Constituency, Tarvinder Singh Marwah, shuting down meat shops for the Kanwar Yatra and questioned the priorities of Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s newly formed government in the state. Dr. Raizada, calling out the hypocrisy, challenged CM Rekha Gupta, her ministers, and BJP MLAs of the state to issue an affidavit stating whether they consume alcohol or tobacco.
BLP President Dr. Raizada asked the Delhi government to clarify whether these meat shops will be allowed to reopen after the Yatra ends. “CM Rekha Gupta should clarify whether meat shops will open again after the Yatra. If so, why reopen them when consuming meat is deemed bad anyway?” Dr. Raizada questioned. “This is merely a political stunt designed to sow seeds of division among communities.”
Dr. Raizada also asked the government to shed light on what preparations have been made to manage the Kanwar Yatra procession, as the city is already choked with traffic and crowds.
The Bharatiya Liberal Party (BLP) is a Delhi-centric political party focused on eliminating corruption and creating a people-centric governance model for the people of Delhi. BLP President, Dr. Munish Kumar Raizada, is a doctor who served as a neonatologist in Chicago, USA, for 22 years and is now working to make a corruption-free government a reality for Delhi state.
