Why did the US attack Venezuela?

The POTUS has often accused the South American nation of being responsible for high levels of migration into the United States. According to Trump, the now-captured president of Venezuela allegedly forced inmates and other prisoners to migrate to the US.

He has also claimed that the country’s president was controlling the Cartel de los Soles, which he designated as a foreign terrorist organisation.

US forces carried out a high-intensity operation that resulted in the capture of Maduro and his wife. Trump added that the operation was conducted in coordination with US law enforcement agencies.

During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, he said, “We will run the country until such time as we can carry out a safe, proper, and judicious transition.”
