Calling out what it described as an irony, CJP shared a video allegedly showing police using lathi charges against several protesters with the caption, "Police didn't use force." It also tagged another post by News Algebra, which read, "Jantar Mantar cleared by the authorities. Police didn't use force."

In a post on X, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das alleged that Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali J. Angmo, was assaulted by the Delhi Police along with dozens of others. He wrote, "GEETANJALI JI’S HAIR PULLED BY DELHI POLICE, ASSAULTED. A 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL’S HEAD HAS BEEN BROKEN. 40–50 OTHER HEADS BROKEN! @DelhiPolice WHAT IS GOING ON!?"

National CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka took to X to set the record straight, stating that the New Delhi DCP had reached out to communicate with the government. He wrote, “There were more serious discussions only from today 6 AM, and only around 11:45 AM was there an alignment on meeting Nadda ji.” He further noted that they met JP Nadda and that “he is checking with the leadership internally with respect to our demands.”

In a recent post on CJP's official handle, shared just minutes ago, spokesperson Saurav Das reportedly clarified that Dipke has neither been detained nor arrested by the police. "A huge crowd is still outside Kerala House," Das wrote in his post on X.

CJP’s spokesperson Saurav Das said that founder of CJP, Abhijeet Dipke was picked up by Delhi Police.  He said, "we request all MPs to immediately stand in support of the students on the streets. The Police is brutally cracking down and beating up peaceful protestors."

The gates of Parliament were closed on Monday following the adjournment of both Houses during the Monsoon Session, amid safety precautions and security concerns.

A large number of protesters, who had gathered at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Monday, tried to organise their ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak issue. The situation turned tense as clashes broke out between police and demonstrators, with security personnel attempting to stop them from crossing barricades.

The protest witnessed a heavy security presence, with Delhi Police putting up multiple layers of barricading across the New Delhi district to control the movement of protesters. According to police officials, the protesters gathered at the protest site as crowds continued to swell.

Visuals from the spot showed hundreds of students and young protesters carrying flags and raising slogans. Many protesters were seen attempting to move beyond the barricades, following which police personnel repeatedly pushed them back to maintain order.

Police personnel were deployed in large numbers at Jantar Mantar, with a riot control vehicle also entering the protest site early on Monday. Authorities also imposed restrictions around the area as the march towards Parliament was planned by the protesters.

Several students reached Jantar Mantar after gathering near Mandi House Metro Station, raising slogans against the Central government while moving towards the protest venue. The demonstration intensified as more students joined the march.

According to reports from the protest site, police used force to stop demonstrators from crossing security barricades, and a lathi charge was also reported during the confrontation between police and protesters.

The situation remained tense as security personnel attempted to prevent protesters from moving towards restricted areas. The Patel Chowk Metro Station, located near Jantar Mantar, was reportedly closed as a precautionary measure amid the demonstration.

Police also deployed signal jammers in and around the protest area, with some protesters claiming that mobile phone connectivity was affected near the venue.

The protest at Jantar Mantar has been going on for over a month, with its main demand being the resignation of the Union Education Minister over allegations related to the NEET paper leak. The protesters have accused the government of failing to ensure transparency in the examination process and have been demanding accountability from those responsible.

The protest comes amid heightened security arrangements in central Delhi, with police maintaining a strict vigil as demonstrators continue their march and raise slogans over the issue.

Three Delhi Metro station gates were temporarily closed on Monday morning ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) planned march to Parliament, as thousands of supporters began gathering at Jantar Mantar to participate in the "Chalo Sansad" protest.

According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), entry and exit gates at Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth Metro stations were closed until further instructions as a precautionary measure in view of the proposed march.

Shortly before the DMRC issued its advisory, the Cockroach Janta Party claimed that multiple Metro stations had been shut as protesters were making their way to Jantar Mantar to join the demonstration.

In a subsequent update, the DMRC informed commuters that the interchange facilities and station gates at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat Metro stations had been reopened, indicating a partial restoration of normal operations.

The protest has been organised to press for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak case and other examination-related irregularities, including the 12th CBSE Board, that have sparked nationwide concerns over the integrity of competitive examinations.

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has also extended support to the march along with the Cockroach Janta Party. Wangchuk, who has been observing an indefinite hunger strike, is currently admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi after being shifted from the protest site.

His hospitalisation came after the Delhi High Court permitted authorities to intervene if his health condition deteriorated during the course of the fast.

The Monsoon Session is set to commence on Monday and will run until August 13, featuring a total of 19 sittings over the four-week period.

The police used lathi-charge amid the protest march as one barricade was breached. After the lathi-charge, the protestors sat right in front of the police cordon.

Gitanjali Angmo, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, has reached Jantar Mantar, where thousands of protesters including students have already gathered ahead of the planned march to the Parliament.

Ashutosh Ranka, spokesperson of Cockroach Janta Party said that they are coordinating with the Delhi police ahead of the protest march. He requested the protesters to “stay put and maintain peace.”

The Delhi Police said, around 8,000 protesters have gathered at Jantar Mantar for the ‘Chalo Sansad’ protest organized by Cockroach Janta Party’s founder Abhijeet Dipke and activist Sonam Wangchuk. Students are arriving in large groups at Jantar Mantar ahead of the proposed march to Parliament. The students started gathering at Jantar Mantar since morning, raising slogans of “Jai Bhim“ and “Jai Constitution.”

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) posted on X " Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations have been closed till further instructions," for security reasons.

Several actors, political leaders, and common people thronged the protest site at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. The authorities and police were advised to provide security arrangements. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke called for a night-long vigil and activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali Angmo said that he will end his hunger strike if political leaders assure to raise educational issues in Parliament.
