India and Seychelles to establish a Joint Working Group and expand cooperation on marine economy

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who reached Seychelles late on Tuesday as a part of his three nation visit in the Indian ocean, established a Joint Working Group today to ' Increase our understanding of marine ecology and resources' and ' harness new possibilities of the ocean in a sustainable and balanced manner.'

PM Modi expressed happiness that the island nation has launched direct flight to India for close people to people contact and endorsed India's permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council.

Modi called the friendship with Seychelles 'unique and special.' and motivated by the common purpose of progress and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region.
