PM Modi-led government to bring new Anti-Black Money Bill in Parliament soon

To tackle the menace of Black Money, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is mulling to move an Anti-Black Money Bill in Parliament soon, a bureaucrat from Ministry of Finance said.

Speaking at an interactive session organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Shaktikanta Das, secretary, department of revenue, Ministry of Finance said the central government will soon introduce a new bill in parliament to curb black money.

The Swiss authorities have agreed in principle to support the Indian investigations into money stashed abroad, Das said.

Das also talked about the work pertaining to the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime from April 1, 2016.
