The long awaited Anti corruption helpline number, the magic wand to battle corruption, has finally been re launched in Delhi by AAP.

Fulfilling third promise made to the people of Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today re-launched the anti-corruption helpline number – 1031.

The digits, 1031, which were pushed more than one lakh times by the people of Delhi during AAP's rule last year, will remain the same.

Though the number is the same, the help line's capacity has been increased from 1000 to 10,000 calls per day. A team of volunteers will attend calls in Hindi and English.

Talking about the action taken against corruption, Delhi Chief Minister said that within 49 days government has been able to bring down the corruption by 70 per cent.

Showing faith in this new facility for the residents of Delhi, Kejriwal said, "Earlier we were excited about this idea, but now we have our full faith in its power."

The helpline is a revival of the service which the AAP government had launched during its earlier 49-day stint after the 2013 Assembly elections.

"Last time our party was in power for 49 days, we had launched this helpline. We are re-launching it today," Kejriwal said.
