Soldier killed in Pakistan firing in Jammu

Jammu: A soldier was killed in ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, sources said on Thursday.

"A soldier was killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan troops in Krishna Ghati sector of the LoC yesterday (Wednesday)," a defense source said.

"There was a single round of unprovoked sniper fire from across the LoC that hit the soldier and killed him," he added.

On Wednesday, the Pakistan Army violated ceasefire twice on the LoC in Machil sector of Kupwara district in the valley.
