New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh met representatives of veterans protesting over non-implementation of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme and assured them of his support here on Friday. "The minister said he will do his best in sorting out the issue," spokesperson of the ex-servicemen front, Col. Anil Kaul (retd.) told. Maj. Gen. Satbir Singh (retd.) said they urged the home minister to keep the promise he made as BJP president.

"We urged him to keep the promise he made as BJP president. He said he will discuss the issue with the PM," he said. The home minister had earlier this week met Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and some Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh representatives over the issue.
