New Delhi: Twenty Indians may have been killed during the Saudi-led coalition air strike on fuel smugglers at a Yemeni port, according to a Times of India report.

The Saba news agency controlled by the Houthis also reported that 15 people were killed in the Saudi airstrike on Sanaa. But, the reports are yet to be confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs. MEA spokesman Vikas Swarup has been quoted by TOI as saying: "We are ascertaining the facts about the reports."

Yemen plunged into a civil war after the Houthi rebel forces managed to capture the capital city of Sanaa last September. Following this, India had shut down its embassy in Yemen and had evacuated all those Indians who wanted to leave.
