New Delhi: Split among veterans sparked out during the ex-servicemen protest at Jantar Mantar. Some key members walked out by saying that they don't want to hold more protest until government issues order on One Rank One Pension.

On Wednesday evening, Lt. Gen. Balbir Singh, a key member of the front formned to demand OROP, announced the exit of his group Indian Ex-Services League from the front. He said, " We have left the United Front of Ex-Servicemen (UFESM)."

When asked for the reason behind the decision, Singh said, "There was a meeting today, and the group was reconstituted. We are out of it now." He further added, "The agitation is for OROP, which has been granted. There are some more anomalies for which we will keep protesting. We will present our views to the one member committee formed by the government."

This comes just two days before of a rally planned by the veterans. However a key member of the front, Col. Anil Kaul said that the protest rally will held as scheduled. The veterans have planned the 'Sainik Ekta Rally' on September 12, 2015 from Jantar Mantar.

Col. Kaul briefed, "The veterans who assisted in ensuring that the protest did bring some result would be praised and appreciated during the rally."
