Chicago: To tap the human potential for innovation in the area of language and livelihood, eminent philanthropist Dr Kallol Guha has announced the opening of an incubation center in Park Ridge, Illinois (Chicago area).

Speaking to NewsGram, Dr. Guha said that there is a link between languages and livelihood. He said that he firmly believes that higher education in mother tongue is the main catalyst for generating new and original ideas.

He further added: "That is precisely the reason why all great personalities advocated for higher education in vernacular language. Deprivation of education in indigenous language prevents original thinking."

Based upon this premise, Dr Guha wants to fuel innovation in Indian languages. He believes that unless we develop techniques to translate literature from one language to another in a fast and speedy manner, the real growth of Indian languages will not happen in this era of computer technology.

Dr. Guha added that people interested in creating innovative tools to facilitate growth of Indian languages, should contact him at kg@mail.sjsm.org
