The number– 9918952017 was launched by Madhusudan Mistry, the party general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) president Nirmal Khatri.

Konark Dixit, a member of the social media cell of the party, said the number would be publicised among the people, party workers and district leaders so that better coordination is established with the rank and file and also with the people so that their problems can be heard and taken up at the right forums.

Mistry said this was the first of many initiatives that the Congress had planned, and assured the people that the party was standing with them and will try to do its best to get their problems resolved, both at the state and the national levels.
