November 20, 2016: Nike fans are eagerly waiting for the debut of its first self-lacing sneakers.
Nike revealed the price of its self-lacing athletic shoe, the HyperAdapt 1.0 – a whopping $720.
The self-lacing shoe will be available on December 1 in two NYC stores, Nike's Soho location and at the Nike+ ClubHouse.

People who are eager can book appointments there and can try them on, or else they can wait until late December, when the shoes will be available at other stores as well via the Nike+ app.

Nike+ app users will be getting an early access to purchase the self-lacing shoe on November 28 for a limited time.
The color scheme that will be available on December 1 is black/white-blue lagoon. The metallic silver/black-white sneaker will come out later in that month.

The Nike HyperAdapt is different from Nike Mag, as that's a replica of the self-lacing shoes that was worn in Back to the Future by Marty McFly.
Only 89 pairs of Nike Mag were made and were only available to the fans via lottery.
Nike HyperAdapt will be lightweight and will be rechargeable. The self-lacing mechanism of the sneaker works more like that of automatic buckling.
According to CNN, Nike senior innovator Tiffany Beers said, "When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten. Then there are two buttons on the side to tighten and loosen. You can adjust it until it's perfect."
