Shillong set to host Indian Panorama Film Fest from March 12

Shillong is all set to host the next edition of the Indian Panorama Film Festival from March 12-15 at the U Soso Tham Auditorium.

The event is being organised by Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya.

Twelve films, including 8 feature and 4 non feature films would be screened at the event that would include a range of interactive sessions open to students, filmmakers and the general public viewers.

Dr Prakash Baba Amte: The Real Hero (Marathi, directed by Samruddhi Porey) will be the opening film at the festival.

Other films to be screened include the national award winning film from Meghalaya Ri' (Khasi), 'Drishyam' (Malayalam), 'December 1' (Kannada), 'Kuttram Kadithal (Tamil), 'Ankhon Dekhi' (Hindi, directed by Rajat Kapoor), 'Othello' (Assamese) 'Teenkahon' (Bengali) and 'Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona' (Bengali). Non-feature films to be screened during the festival are 'Songs of the Blue Hills' (Nagamese/English), 'A Dream Never Dies' (Assamese) and 'Ek Hota Kau' (Marathi).
