Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's King Salman Bin Abdulaziz on Monday named a new housing minister and governor of the Northern Borders province, media reported.

In a royal decree on the cabinet appointments, the Saudi king named Majed bin Abdullah Al-Huqail as the new housing minister. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Musaad was appointed as the new governor of the Northern Borders province, Arab News reported.

Prince Mishaal's appointment came after Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz bin Musaed, one of the longest serving governors, died last week after having governed the province for more than five decades.
