Many roads in the capital were flooded mainly due to choked drains. The traffic slowed down on the arterial roads, including one leading to adjoining Gurgaon.

"Traffic has been affected at various places in many areas," said a traffic police official.

A 29-year-old man going to Noida said he was stuck in the rain on the DND flyway that links Delhi with Noida.

Delhi woke up to a cloudy and humid morning. The minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius.
