New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Timarpur Pankaj Pushkar, began his "satyagraha" against the Delhi government on Tuesday and blamed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for "neglect and substandard treatment of Sangam Vihar"–an unauthorized colony in his home constituency. However, the party leadership chose to ignore him.

Pushkar said: "I am asking for specific civic issues to be resolved in Sangam Vihar. Before the elections, the CM had conveyed to the electorate that he would address these issues. But he has completely turned a blind eye. Today I have written my third letter to him. I had raised the same issue in the Assembly twice, and the third time I was denied an opportunity to speak."

Pushkar has given the Kejriwal government a deadline of four days, and said a delegation would go to the CM's residence on Sunday to discuss the issue with him.

Senior party leaders preferred to ignore the protest.
