US Senior Adviser to visit India and China ahead of Paris climate talks

Washington: Brian Deese, the Senior Adviser to US President Obama, is scheduled to visit India and China to discuss about climate change ahead of the UN climate talks that is scheduled to take place between 30-Novermber and 11-December in Paris, France.

Brian Deese will be visiting India on 7-September and will hold talks with senior officials including Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. In China, he would hold talks with the Executive Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and other officials on 9-September and 10-September, according to an Economic Times report.

The Paris conference is very crucial as it aims to finalize the universal climate deal which would help slow down the global warming by reducing the emission of green-house gases that is generated from burning fossil fuels.
