According to media reports, a girl was assaulted and beaten up by several youths for rejecting a love proposal in Bangladesh.

In Dhaka's Demra area, the girl was chased and attacked by youths in the afternoon when she left home to go and teach a student. Girl's brother alleged a guy named Max Babu for assaulting her sister because she denied having a relationship with him. He claimed that three others also supported Babu in the act.

Police have arrested two suspects appearing to be involved in the crime.
