Bangalore: A 33-year-old techie was found to be responsible for the hoax bomb call that had brought the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru and the Delhi airport to a standstill on Saturday morning.

According to media reports, the techie, arrested on Monday, had killed his wife and was having an affair with a married woman.

Gokul had stolen the passport of the husband of his mistress. Later, he bought his sim card in the same name and created a Facebook page which potrayed the concerned person as an ISIS follower, hoping that the page would attract the cyber police's attention.

On being unable to follow his plans, he made hoax calls at both the airports.

According to a report in the CNN-IBN, the Bangalore Police Commissioner NS Megharikh traced the mobile number from which he made calls from his apartment.

On face value, the concerned case doesn't look like a case of terrorism; the miscreant's wife died under untoward circumstances and the probity of the case is being looked over, said NS Megharikh.

Reports say that Gokul had confessed to assault his wife after which she died.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security said they will press for an Act called Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against Civil Aviation Safety Act which calls for imprisonment for life, in a bid to scuttle such acts
