PM Modi condoles death of UAE vice president’s son Sheikh Rashid

New Delhi, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20th September , Sunday wrote to UAE Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, consoling the death of his son Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Maktoum.

"I am deeply saddened to learn about the sudden and untimely demise of your worthy son Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Maktoum," Modi said in a statement issued here.

"With his passing away, a promising public career has been tragically cut short. In this hour of personal grief, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and people of UAE. The people of India join their UAE brothers and sisters in mourning this irreparable loss," the prime minister said in his letter.

Sheikh Rashid was the eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed, the UAE's vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai.
