N Rajendran, former member of Rajya Sabha found dead in a car

Chennai: N Rajendran, former member of Rajya Sabha representing AIADMK and now a DMK leader in Tuticorin district was found dead with a bullet injury on Wednesday.

According to police, Rajendran's body was found in Kovilpattin in Tuticorin district.

He was found dead in his car near the bus terminus in Kovipatti.

Rajendran's body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem and the police have registered a case. The police have recovered a gun from the car.

Between 1995-2001 Rajendran was a member of Rajya Sabha representing the AIADMK party.

Before his term ended, he changed sides and went over to DMK.
