New Delhi: NDTV confirmed the news that Delhi Police busted a clandestine plot of the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to carry out attacks in various areas of the capital. It was revealed that the outfit was also planning to attack the VVIPs.

Delhi Police filed a complaint on December 1, noting that there was a high chance of a 'fidayeen strike' in Delhi. A report on the issue was already filed in an anti-terror court.

There were allegations that these Lashkar operatives used code name like Numan, Khursheed and Zaidi to baffle the security and hoodwink the Indian intelligence agencies.

Reports say, the militants mostly trespass through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police was carrying search operations to nab two suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba militants who had allegedly hatched a plot to carry out suicide targeting VVIPs.

Following the registry of a First Information Report (FIR), the Special Cell of Delhi Police received an intelligence report about two suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives. They were identified as Dujana and Ukasha, who allegedly infiltrated in Jammu & Kashmir through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The recent nabbing of undercover operatives by Indian security forces, the busting of the Lashkar-e-Taiba plots indicates the obviousness of the Pakistan government's decision to hold unconditional dialogue with India to resolve outstanding issues.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had revealed they had substantial information that the Pakistan High Commission had links with the ISI operatives who were arrested in connection with the Jammu and Kashmir spy ring. A lot of documents related to India's national security were seized from their possession.

However, their arrest was a massive success for the Indian intelligence agencies. The busting of the huge espionage racket also helped the Indian agencies to know about the modus operandi of the Pakistani agents.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had busted the espionage racket backed by Pakistan's ISI and detained a suspected handler of this organization and a serving BSF jawan.
