According to the police, Lalita died from her injuries while being treated at a government hospital here.

"Prima facie it does not appear a case of being burnt by villagers and it seems the quarrel was not on felling of trees but pathway," a police official said.

An investigation has been launched into the incident. "If need be, we will arrest the culprits soon," the official said. (IANS)
