The Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Dr D.N. Kotnis Health and Education Centre, Punjab, have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to enhance collaboration in education and research in acupuncture as well as other academic and cultural areas.

The MoC was signed on Saturday by Vice-President of Guizhou Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association Yang Xiaofang and Medical Superintendent of the Dr D.N. Kotnis Health and Education Centre Inderjeet Singh Dhingra, reported Xinhua news agency.

It would pave the way for setting up of an acupuncture institution in Ludhiana where degree courses would be offered, Dhingra told Xinhua on Sunday.

The first of its kind workshop is being organised with the help of Chinese experts in collaboration with the "World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies, Education (WFAS, Edu)", said WFAS Edu's Overseas Manager Zhou Xiaoxue.
