Kedarnath temple is one of the most famous temples situated in northern India. The temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, and is located on Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, in the state of Uttarakhand. Interestingly, Kedarnath temple is seen as as a homogenous form of Shiva, who is called as the 'Lord of Kedarkhand', which is the historical name of the region.
