Residential Building Catches Fire in Jor Bagh's B K Dutt Colony; Three Women Reported Dead

The fire was reported around 10.30am on Tuesday morning. A fire brigade has reached the accident site, and discovered the dead bodies of the three women - a mother and her two daughters.

A MASSIVE FIRE HAS ERUPTED inside a residential building in central Delhi's BK Dutt Colony area in Lodhi Road area. On Tuesday morning, July 21, 2026, a suspected air conditioner (AC) blast set off the blaze on the building's third floor. The fire has killed at least three people — a woman and her two daughters. 

The Delhi Fire Service Department (DFS) said that they received a call at around 10.21 am alerting them about the fire. Fire tenders, including one water tender, one water bowser and one BFT, were rushed to the spot. As authorities reached the accident site, they discovered the bodies of the three deceased women.

As of now, operations are underway to bring the fire under control. Authorities are examining whether any further damage was caused by the fire. The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
