Speaking his mind on terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, in the Parliament today, Home Minister Rajnath Singh reassured the citizens that the government would do everything in its power to bring the underworld don back to India.

The Home Minister also emphasised that Pakistan was bound by international obligations to locate and extradite Dawood, and said, "Pakistan was under international obligation to find him, as Interpol has already issued a Red Corner notice against him. Pakistan has been repeatedly requested by India to find him, but it has failed to do so. We will bring him back."

"India has credible information about his presence in Pakistan. Despite overwhelming documentary and other evidence handed over to Pakistan, Pakistan has failed to locate Dawood Ibrahim and initiate legal process," he further added.

Reiterating India's commitment to bring back Dawood, Singh also said, "Whether we have to pursue Pakistan or pressurise it, we will not rest till Dawood Ibrahim is brought back, adding that India has maintained a continuous vigil on Pakistan over this issue.

The statement comes after minister of state for home affairs Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, made the controversial remark, that Dawood Ibrahim was in Pakistan
