Authorities in China employed surveillance drones in an effort to stamp out cheating in college entrance exams. They released a six-propeller drone, and flew it over two test centres in Luoyang in Henan province on Sunday, to scan for signals being sent to devices which may have been smuggled in.

The officials have become increasingly concerned about the students using devices such as smart phones and other wireless devices for cheating.

There have even been reports of cheating devices sewn into the clothes by the students in the past.

As reported by TOI, Beijing deployed 17,000 police officers to redirect traffic and increase security at the test centers, and also set up service stations to treat anxious parents, should any suffer heart attacks, the city government said in a statement.
Almost all Chinese high school graduates take the test as it is the only way to gain entry into the country's universities.
