A travel portal that promises to facilitate spiritual tours and pilgrimages all over the country will be launched on International Yoga Day on Sunday.

Mumbai based portal spiritualyatra.co.in was formed after two years of research by a team which has explored 750 spiritual destinations across India and will provide facilities like guides, food and accommodation to travellers.

"The idea of this site was born after witnessing the unorganized ways in which the local tour operators handle travelers visiting these spiritual destinations. This portal is a one-stop solution to address the needs of spiritual travelers across the globe," Sarita Nair, founder of the site, said.

The portal has explored untapped places of interest to various communities including Ganga Sagar (West Bengal), Hemkund Sahib (Uttarakhand), Velankanni Church (Tamil Nadu), and Ajmer Sharif among others.

Spiritual Yatra will also be conducting special guided group tours to holy events like Kumbh Mela, Pushkar Mela, Jagannath Yatra, Kolkata Durga Puja and Krishna Janmashthami at Vrindavan besides others.
