BJP doesn’t believe in democracy: Congress

New Delhi, The Congress on Friday said the monsoon session of parliament, which ended on Thursday, showed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not believe in democracy, and blamed the ruling party for the logjam that stalled business in the almost four-week session.

Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, in a press conference here, said the parliament session proved that the BJP did not believe in consensus and democracy.
Holding the BJP responsible for the parliament logjam, he said the ruling party did not want the house to run. Azad also said the party is "intoxicated" with power.
No major legislative business could be transacted in either house of parliament since July 21 when parliament convened till August 13 when it adjourned sine die.
