Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Monday that the visits of union ministers to the poll-bound state had nothing to do with their official work but were rather aimed at getting increased media coverage.

He said these ministers never missed a chance to address press conferences during their visits to Bihar.

"Union ministers are visiting Bihar regularly, but are only focussing on getting more and more media coverage instead of on their work. Their works are done by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh," the chief minister told the media after his weekly 'janata ke darbar mein mukhyamantri'.

Nitish Kumar also targeted the Narendra Modi government, saying none of the promises made by the central government had been fulfilled till date.

He said all non-National Democratic Alliance parties would be invited to the joint rally of the Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress here on August 30.

Nitish Kumar also reiterated his demand for a special category status for Bihar.
