China blasts death toll rises to 123

Beijing: The toll in blasts in a warehouse in China's Tianjin city has risen to 123, authorities said on Sunday. The identities of all victims have been verified, Xinhua quoted Gong Jiansheng, deputy head of Tianjin's publicity department as saying.

Fifty people, including 34 firefighters and four policemen, continued to remain missing nearly two weeks after the August 12 explosions. At least 624 people were still hospitalized, including 44 critically injured.
