Bengal media baron nabbed in Saradha scam association

Kolkata: CBI arrested media baron Ramesh Gandhi on Monday in connection with the multi-crore rupee Saradha scam in Bengal, an official said.

Gandhi, the chairman and managing director of Rainbow Productions –known for its hugely popular news program "Khaash Khabor"– was nabbed for his association with Saradha chief and scam kingpin, Sudipta Sen.

"Gandhi has been arrested for his involvement in the Saradha Scam Case. He was allegedly associated with the Saradha Group boss,Sudipta Sen. Huge funds were allegedly transferred to his own bank account and that of his company," stated a CBI official.
