Owaisi, whose party AIMIM is contesting the Bihar elections, was said to have met Modi in media reports. BJP spokesperson MJ Akbar termed the news as an example of yellow journalism and said the media report is 'absolutely fabricated'.

Akbar further called the story, a conspiracy to form a political agenda and said he will file a case of defamation against the alleged newspaper.

Whereas, leaders from the grand alliance of Congress, JD(U) and RJD blamed Owaisi for helping BJP by contesting the Bihar Polls. They said that AIMIM is seeking to divide Muslim votes of the 243 member Bihar Assembly. Owaisi's party is looking to field candidates in Bihar's Seemanchal region, which has abundant number of Muslim voters.
