Paris: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a bilateral meeting with US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the Conference of Parties (CoP) 21 climate summit that got underway here.

PMO India tweeted along with a picture of the two leaders.

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif had a brief interaction here, days after the latter said that Islamabad was ready for an unconditional dialogue with India to resolve all unsorted issues.

It is not yet clear what all they discussed during their brief meeting in Paris.

Sharif had said, Pakistan wants sustainable peace and so his country was ready to hold talks with India without any preconditions.

PM Modi also held bilateral meetings with French President Francois Hollande, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

After inaugurating the India Pavilion at the summit, the Indian prime minister also attended a lunch hosted by Hollande for the visiting world leaders.

The UN climate change conference will conclude on December 11.
