New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that his government's main focus is financial inclusion and they are working for the empowerment of the people belonging to the backward classes.

The PM said that the target of the government is to create job creators, not job seekers.

Speaking at the National Conference of Dalit entrepreneurs, Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Modi said that this is your government and we are working for your empowerment.

Modi said that Dalit leader and creator of Indian Constitution BR Ambedkar was an accomplished economist too and he rightly said that industrialization will give the maximum benefit to Dalits.

PM said that the government has set up a venture capital fund to help people of backward classes.

He also urged people to use their rights along with fulfilling duties. Schemes like 'Make In India' are made by the government to help entrepreneurship in India. The NDA government focused on this issue since it came to power.

The government also tried to woo as many investors as possible to come to India and not only invest but to manufacture in India.

The Indian government is also having a year-long celebration of Dalit icon BR Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary. In the conference PM also gave the award of excellence to some Dalit entrepreneurs.
