LG’s initiative creates Guinness World Records

March 14, 2017: LG Electronics India on Tuesday announced that its #KarSalaam initiative for salute to soldiers has achieved Guinness World Record title.

With this campaign, LG breaks the Guinness World Record by getting more than 1,14,741 handwritten messages from the Indian citizens, the company said in a statement.

"The initiative has been a massive success that can be validated by the overwhelming response that we have received from the people in the form of messages for the soldiers," said Kim Ki Wan, Managing Director, LG Electronics India, in a statement.

Through this initiative, LG salutes the soldiers' spirit of generous contribution and service towards the nation. The #KarSalaam initiative also included a donation of Rs 1 crore.

"We are happy to announce the entry of LG Electronics India Ltd. as a record breaker for the 'Longest Line of Sticky Notes' messages from the Indian citizens," added Swapnil Dangarikar, Adjudicator Guinness World Records.
