A dispute over the number of 'rotis' for a party, led to the murder of a man

The victim, Sunny, 30, had placed an order for 150 rotis at a restaurant for the party on his birthday.

But the restaurant sent only 40 rotis, following which Sunny and his cousin went to the eatery and raised the matter with the owner.

The two sides got into an argument and Zeeshan, the owner, with his staff attacked Sunny and his cousin, with sticks leaving them critically injured.

Both were rushed to a hospital where Sunny succumbed to injuries on Sunday night, while his cousin Bablu is undergoing treatment, the police said.

The matter concerns two communities and additional police forces have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure.

The police spokesman said that two cousins of the owner and a worker have been arrested, while a hunt is on for Zeeshan who is absconding. (AA/IANS)
