The standing committee examining the Lokpal and Lokayuktas and Other Related Law (Amendment) Bill, 2014, under Congress MP EM Sudarsana Natchiappan has sought more time form Rajya Sabha chairman to submit its final report.

The 31 member Parliamentary standing committee on personnel, public grievances, law and justice was busy examining other tasks given to it, Sudarsana Natchiappan said.

The committee is analyzing the suggestions by organizations and individuals on the proposed amendments in the Bill, introduced in Lok Sabha on December 8, last year. It has already received views of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on the issue.

A meeting of the panel has been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday to decide on the demands for grants of the two ministries.

The committee is examining suggestions received from individuals and organisations on the proposed amendments in the legislation.
