Kashmiri hardliner Masrat Alam is all set to return to jail after Home Minister Rajnath Singh made it clear that those charged with sedition will not be forgiven.

While replying to the questions pertaining to Alam's fate, Rajnath Singh said: "Yes he will go to jail… Wait and watch what happens."

"I want to assure the country, the government will not compromise on the unity and integrity of the country. Sedition will not be forgiven," he added.

The first information report (FIR) against Masrat Alam was lodged on April 15 after he led a pro-Geelani rally where people waved Pakistani flags and raised pro-Pakistan slogans.

Earlier, Alam was arrested in 2010 for inciting youth during the unrest in Valley which led to a loss of 112 innocent lives.
