Intelligence agencies have warned the Delhi police that terror outfits, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed, may attack the capital using drones.

According to news reports, the intelligence agencies asked the police to stay cautious as there is a possibility of aerial attacks using drones on the capital.

After the warning, the Delhi Police has started keeping an eye on every flying aircraft as a precautionary step. Police is also monitoring the people who are selling or buying drones in the capital.

After the release of 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, from a Pakistan jail, securities agencies have been on high alert. Earlier this month also the top intelligence sources had warned of a possible terror strike in the coming months.

Mumbai Railway Police's letter issued in April had stated that Lashkar-e-Taiba is planning to attack railway stations and hotels in the city, possibly similar to 26/11 terror strike. The letter had also cautioned that approx 10 terrorists may take the sea route and enter the city.

It was also stated by the intelligence sources that a "generic alert" was issued to all states few days back, however, there was no mention of the specific targets.

Ever since the BJP-led government took charge of the nation, there have been continuous warnings of a possible Lashkar strike.
