New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party workers on Monday staged protests, demanding the sacking of the Bharatiya Janata Party's four ministers.

The protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar around 10 a.m. and demanded action from the BJP against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Human Resource Minister Smriti Irani, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Maharashtra Minister Pankaja Munde.

As the AAP workers marched towards the Parliament Street, the security forces disrupted the protest and clashes took place.

The AAP demanded ouster of Irani over the false information she allegedly provided to the Election Commission about her educational qualification. The party demanded resignations from Swaraj and Raje over their alleged "impropriety" in former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi's case.

The women's wing of AAP also joined the protest, demanding the resignation of Maharashtra's Rural Development Minister Pankaja Munde over her alleged involvement in a scam.

"The BJP is not doing anything. Amit Shah must clarify and act on it," one of the protesters said.

The AAP workers also questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The PM should have openly spoken about Smriti Irani and Sushma Swaraj. His silence will not be accepted," another protester said. (IANS)
