Dhaka, At least 20 people were killed and over 50 injured on Friday in a stampede in Bangladesh's Mymensingh city.

Police said people had gathered at a residence to receive "zakat" (relief goods provided by rich people to the poor) clothes when the stampede took place, Xinhua news agency reported.

There were too many people to collect the aid which triggered the stampede, police added. (IANS)
