Security beefed up in Haryana

Chandigarh: Security was beefed up in Haryana on Monday in the wake of a terror attack in Punjab's Gurdaspur district, a police official said.

All senior police officers have been asked to intensify patrolling in their respective areas, additional director general Mohammad Akil said in a statement.

He said the Railway Protection Force has also been instructed to keep vigil on railway stations, tracks and trains.
