3 killed, 9 injured in extensive Pakistan shelling in Jammu

Jammu: "Three civilians were killed and and nine injured in indiscriminate shelling by Pakistan Rangers in R.S. Pura sector of the International Border in Jammu district," a senior police official said. The incident occurred on Friday.

On Friday 1 a.m., Pakistan Rangers resorted to heavy shelling and firing in Jammu and Kashmir; the firing exchanges are still on.

Subhash Chander, 45, and Bimla Devi, 42, both residents of Sai Khurd village, and Pawan Kumar, 55, who lived in Abdullian village, were killed, and the injured have been shifted to a hospital.

The Pakistani side also used automatics and machine guns to fire indiscriminately in the area, police said. Many civilian areas have come under heavy shelling by Pakistan.

The Indian side has appropriately retaliated, he added.
