flyDEL : an app you can fly with

Travelling through the Indira Gandhi International Airport is matter of a few clicks and swipes now. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the private airport operator on Saturday announced the launch of its new mobile app- flyDEL.

"The smart and tech savvy travelers as well as the first time users can make the best use of the wide range of facilities available at the airport by using the app. The app is based on a very specific technology that takes care of the real needs of the various categories of fliers to make their journey a pleasant and hassle free affair," said I Prabhakara Rao, chief executive officer at Delhi International Airport Ltd.

The app, flyDEL will provide real-time flight information and access to all passenger facilities available at the airport,among others. The app currently has tabs for flights, services, Persons with Restricted Mobility (PRM), lost & found, travelling with kids, left luggage and valet parking.

It will also provide details on where to eat,shop and relax at the airport.

"The app aims to augment passenger experience and achieve customer delight at the airport. The app is available for both Android as well as iOS based devices, covering majority smartphone users in the country," a DIAL spokesperson said.

DIAL plans to add more features soon, including cab and hotel bookings. Mumbai International Airport Ltd, that runs Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is also in the process of designing a new app for the airport.
