The atmosphere in Janta Parivar isn't all hunky dory. Though the block kicked up a furore amid the political milieu during its initial days, it is gradually running short of vigour owing to party feuds. The recent fall out between Samajwad Party and Janta Parivar testifies the wrecking status of the alternative front.

Though SP had announced its intent to quit the alliance, JD(U) and RJD members are still trying hard to keep the party intact. Laying off the probability of the surging divide, JD(U) General Secretary Javed Raza told NewsGram, "Basically, the dispute is pertaining to seat sharing issues and we hope the matter will be resolved soon. Yesterday, JD (U) president Sharad Yadav had a conversation with SP supremo Mulayam Singh over the issue and there are chances that the matter will be resolved soon."

Toeing a similar line of thought, RJD UP state president, Ashok Singh told NewsGram, "The situation, as of now, is a bit precarious but we will hopefully handle the same. Mulayam Singh has been a strong support for Janata Parivar and he will always be so. We are trying our best to resolve the issue."

No Samajwadi party spokesperson was available to comment on the issue when approached for their stance on the impending situation.
