33 percent reservation for women in paramilitary forces

Hyderabad: Now women will find it easier to find their feet in paramilitary forces as there will be a whopping 33 percent reservation for them in the same, announced the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

"In all paramilitary forces, women will be recruited by providing 33 percent reservations," he said at the passing out parade in Hyderabad's National Industrial Security Academy, as quoted in a leading national daily.

The aforesaid decision has been taken in order to increase the participation of women in paramilitary forces.

Further, Singh also reiterated that the CISF must improve its competence in areas of crimes such as cyber crimes.
